Kweli Journal is a new online literary journal established to identify, promote and nurture emerging writers of color.  We also seek to expand the audience of authors of color who already have a foothold in the industry.  Our mission, as editors and publishers, is to find a broad, international audience for the artists that we publish and the work that we find engaging and uncompromising.

Celebrating Bold Leadership,
Strong Advocacy & Progressive Vision

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) is an outgrowth of its founding chapter, the New York Coalition of 100 Black Women. The latter, founded in 1970, consisted of dedicated African-American women in New York City who persistently worked to address the problems that affected their families, their communities, and themselves. They aggressively began to reach out to other Black women and to mobilize their emerging strength into a visible and influential force.
